A podcast is an audio or video file that’s published on the Internet for people to listen to or watch online.
When we talk about podcasts, we’re normally referring to audio files (in MP3 format).
There are thousands of podcasts out there, on a range of topics – and some are better than others.
Typically, you’ll find a podcast you like, subscribe to it, and get new episodes as they’re released.
The name Podcast comes from Apple’s iPod, and podcasts are commonly downloaded onto Apple devices, such as the iPod and iPhone. Normally, this is done using Apple’s iTunes software.
